“I am a Program Analyst at the UNDP headquarters in New York, and I reached this position after being one of 20 people of 38,709 who were selected through a youth program.
At work and while pursuing my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, I always felt ready to take on new challenges because, at ISC-Erbil, I was taught how to think outside the box and write research papers with confidence, and to think critically.
I can proudly say that, today, I play an active role in promoting the inclusion of women and girls in society. The SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO) is also why I have been very much engaged in my community. At a very young age, ISC-Erbil got us involved in humanitarian activities, such as food and clothes distribution to the people in need; this helped me feel responsible and taught me how to give back to my society. Ever since, I have been involved in humanitarian activities, which helped me establish a humanitarian organization through which I was able to fund 20 surgeries for children with a heart disease from low-income households. “
