Novee' Gwenel Pennyman
"I joined IAF in 1999 and graduated in 2005.
After graduating from IAF, I pursued a general studies degree at Mott Community College. I went on to join Ferris State University and received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a middle school math endorsement. In the 2015-2016 academic year, I worked at a school in Flint for my first year. During my second year of teaching, I worked at Middle School Montessori in Minnesota. I am currently in my third year of my teaching career and am working at the International Academy of Flint. I loved being a SABIS® student, and I also love being a teacher in a SABIS® Network school. Next school year I will be starting an Alumni Scholarship for graduating seniors.
As a student here I learned how to endure. I didn't give up even when things got difficult. College was a breeze and I graduated with a 3.75 GPA. I learned how to love, care, and think before I act. I am grateful that SABIS® brought such a great school to the city of Flint."
